Served straight up or topped with good vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, these brownies will surprise and delight the lucky folks who eat your desserts! Try sprinkling a few lavender buds on top for extra pizzazz.
Ingredients:
2 ounces chocolate
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup flour
A dash of salt
1 tablespoon dried lavender
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (optional)
Powdered sugar (optional)
Melt chocolate and butter together and let cool. In mixing bowl, whisk chocolate mixture into remaining ingredients, except nuts, and blend until smooth. Add nuts if desired. Butter and flour a metal 8” or 9” square baking pan. Bake @ 325 degrees for 18 min. Dust top with powdered sugar when you remove it from the oven, while warm. Let cool before cutting. Enjoy!
